How we install it, place the room sensors and link the app
Installation starts with a look at the system. The technician inspects the equipment, the wires at the thermostat and the connections at the furnace or air handler, and confirms the ecobee is a fit. The power goes off, the old thermostat comes down, and the ecobee's mounting plate goes up level on the wall. Each wire lands on its terminal, the unit is mounted and the power is restored.
Then come the sensors and the app. The technician sets the equipment type, connects the ecobee to your Wi-Fi and pairs it to your account in the mobile app. Room sensors are placed where they can read the room fairly: on an interior wall or shelf at living height, out of direct sun and away from a stove or a supply register. Heating and cooling are tested, and the technician explains what was done and gives you a tutorial on the new system.
Before the visit, your Anderson Air technician contacts you to let you know when they are close by. If the work can be done the same day, they will do it. If not, they book a later time that suits you. Check the house from the mobile app when you are away and adjust the setting when your plans change, so the system is not holding full comfort for an empty house. Build a schedule around the rooms you actually use, with sensors in those rooms, and keep the setbacks modest so the equipment is not forced to catch up.
If the ecobee starts shutting off, shows an error code, heats or cools poorly, or the system will not turn off, call.
